Disney now has a new way of getting around the Walt Disney World property, the Minnie Vans. At the D23 Expo 2017, Disney unveiled the Minnie Van service powered by Lyft. This is a new transportation service featuring the Chevy Traverse themed to the one-and-only Minnie Mouse. It is absolutely adorable and the name is genius!
“Since we’re all about exceeding guest expectations and making every aspect of your vacation uniquely Disney, we’re creating a new point-to-point transportation service in a way that only Disney can do,” Bob said.
The current cost for each trip is a flat $20. The Minnie Vans will be driven by Disney Cast Members on park property only. The Chevy Traverse can accommodate up to six guests. Each van will have two seats available. The Minnie Van service will be available between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. (hours are always subject to change).
The Minnie Vans will take you everywhere you want to go on the Walt Disney World Resort. If you visit the parks, they will drop you off at the bus stop section. It is basically door to door service.
Disney partnered up with Lyft, so now you can use the Lyft app to request a Minnie Van. Unfortunately, the Minnie Vans are in a pilot program and it will only be offered to guests of Disney’s BoardWalk, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club and Polynesian Village Resorts. But it won’t be long until it will be offered to everyone at Walt Disney World. Keep on checking back to this site for more updates.
These flyers are now posted and given to guests of the Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club and Polynesian Village Resorts.
When we went to Disney this summer, we did get the Lyft Minnie Van at Walt Disney World and we loved it. They are much prettier in person. The drivers are very knowledgeable and can answer most of your Disney questions. Some drivers can even give you great facts about Disney.
